JUMPLINKS
LECTURES
1. What is After Effects?
After Effects is a 2.5D animation software used for animation, visual effects, and motion picture compositing. It is mainly used in film, TV, and web video creation. In After Effects, Motion graphics animation works by manipulating vector and rasterized art to create and tell a story.

2. Compositioning Layers in Photoshop
A good tip for compositioning is to arrange and rename files accordingly so that it will be organize and easy to be animated in After Effects.
Adobe After Effects is a digital visual effects, motion graphics, and compositing application. Basically we can import elements such as images, video, vector and more into After Effects.
All the layer elements need to be organized and synchronized to the external software platforms such as Photoshop & Illustrator.

PROJECTS
After Effects Graphic Animation
This week we were tasked to do a small of exercise on After Effects. We have to use a pre-existing collage composition provided by Mr. Fauzi on the Google Classroom.
I started by downloading the Photoshop file on Google Classroom, then I opened the file from Adobe After Effects and make folders so that the workspace is tidy.

Finally, I started working on the animation. In After Effects animation is done by connecting one keyframe as a starting point to another.

REFLECTIONS
The most interesting part about After Effects is that this software is not meant to be used for complex animations. Instead, it is used for animating text, graphics and shapes. It is also used in movies, especially in the post-production process. Overall, I think that After Effects is a very useful software, especially with works related to motion graphics and videography.
