    INSTRUCTIONS

    TASK

Project 1: Instructable Infographics poster (20%)

To start, I picked a video from the Pasta Grannies recipe. I chose this video.

Then, I list down the ingredients and recipe from that video.

To begin, I started by looking at Pinterest for references. With those references, I started sketching the poster.

I started with making the ingredients.

I did it by using a combination of pen tool for the overall silhouette and blob brush tool to add the details of small lines and dots. I also use the same method for the two big plates.

Now, I went to illustrate the steps. Still, the same method as last time.

Next, I started working on the typography. I used my friend's design as a reference for the heading and subheadings.

Instead of going for a more 'abstract' artstyle, I tried to make the letters more "consistent" while keeping it more cartoonish.

Lastly, I added a paper texture on the green rectangle. Here is the final result:

    REFLECTIONS

This project helped me understand how to present a recipe in a clear and visually interesting way. At the beginning, I looked at some references and made sketches, which helped me plan my design more carefully before working digitally. While creating the illustrations, I improved my skills using tools like the pen tool and blob brush to produce clean, consistent shapes and small details. I also learned that typography plays an important role because it guides the viewer and makes the information easier to read and follow. In addition, I tried to keep a balanced layout and a consistent cartoon-like style so the poster looks more cohesive and appealing. It was quite challenging at first to maintain consistency and manage spacing, but I gradually improved during the process. Overall, this project helped me become more patient, detail-oriented, and confident in creating structured and engaging infographic designs.
